The 2001 Martin HD-28V is a premium dreadnought acoustic from Martin’s celebrated Vintage Series, designed to reflect the legendary tone and craftsmanship of pre-war models. Built in the USA, this model features a classic Natural finish over a solid spruce top, paired with East Indian rosewood back and sides that deliver a deep, resonant low end with rich overtones and clear high-end response.
 
The neck is topped with an ebony fingerboard, offering smooth, articulate playability ideal for everything from light fingerstyle work to aggressive flatpicking. With a 16" fingerboard radius, 25.4" scale length, and a 1 11/16" nut width, the guitar provides a balanced, comfortable playing experience across styles.
 
Original Martin-branded tuners keep tuning stable, and the ebony bridge enhances tonal clarity and sustain. This model features forward-shifted scalloped X-bracing, a Vintage Series hallmark that increases top resonance and gives this guitar its bold, expressive voice.
 
This guitar has been professionally set up with an action of 2.5 mm at the 12th fret, and it plays beautifully with no buzz or dead spots. The top crack on the upper left bout has been repaired. There are also dings on the top of the lower bout, as well as on the side of the guitar, as shown in the pictures. The back has some slight finish issues on the back. These imperfections do not affect the playability of the guitar.
 
This guitar includes its original Martin hard-shell case, along with the original paperwork and hanging tags.
