The Peavey Classic VT is a powerful 50-watt, solid-state/tube hybrid combo known for its reliability, strong clean headroom, and classic American-voiced response. This unit features an internal 4-ohm speaker load and should be used with the aux speaker jack only when connecting any external cabinet.
This example has just undergone a full round of maintenance and cleanup. The speakers were securely remounted, and all speaker wiring was neatly redressed for improved reliability. The reverb tank was pulled and replaced, and the internal mounting spring was repaired along with new rubber mounting grommets to keep the tank isolated and functioning as intended. All pots were thoroughly cleaned, the unit’s internal connections and “bins” were checked, and the amp was tested extensively to ensure stable performance.
Cosmetically, the amp shows normal wear for its age but remains in solid, fully functional condition—ready to deliver that familiar Classic VT punch, warmth, and volume.
