Action and playability are great.

The Martin M-36 is a highly regarded classic, known for its distinctive body shape and exceptionally balanced tonal response. Blending the power and projection of a larger-bodied acoustic with the clarity and articulation Martin is famous for, the M-36 has long been a favorite among professional players and discerning enthusiasts alike.

This 2017 example features a solid Sitka spruce top paired with solid East Indian rosewood back and sides, producing a rich, expansive tone with deep yet controlled lows, sparkling highs, and excellent note definition. The signature three-piece rosewood back adds both visual elegance and a focused, articulate response that works beautifully for strumming, flatpicking, and fingerstyle playing.

The comfortable mahogany neck and ebony fingerboard offer a smooth, responsive feel, while the onboard Fishman electronics make this guitar stage- and studio-ready with reliable amplified tone. Martin’s renowned craftsmanship is evident throughout, delivering a versatile acoustic that performs equally well in live, recording, and home environments.
