This 2004 Fender 50th Anniversary Stratocaster in Aztec Gold is a stunning and collectible piece, showcasing the iconic Stratocaster design with a solid alder body, a one-piece maple neck, and a maple fingerboard. The original Aztec Gold finish remains in mint condition, with no signs of wear. The neck features a comfortable Soft V profile with a 7.25" radius and a nut width of 1-5/8", offering smooth playability and a classic feel.
The guitar retains its original electronics, including three single-coil pickups, wired to a five-position selector switch with master volume and tone controls for both the neck and middle pickups. The frets are medium-width and height, providing excellent playability with low action.
At 8 lbs and 2.2 oz, this Stratocaster is a well-balanced instrument, and its original hardware adds to its pristine condition. The guitar is an excellent example of Fender's craftsmanship, celebrating 50 years of Stratocaster heritage. It’s a beautiful, all-original example that plays as well as it looks, and it’s in near-mint condition, only because of some very light evidence of playing on the pickguard.
