The 1989 Fender Telecaster in classic Sunburst finish is a quintessential example of late-'80s American Fender craftsmanship. Built at the Corona, California factory, this model reflects the transitional era of the American Standard series—offering a refined take on the vintage Tele formula with modern appointments for enhanced playability and reliability.

Constructed from a solid alder body and outfitted with a one-piece maple neck paired with a rosewood fingerboard, this Telecaster delivers a full-bodied tonal palette that retains the trademark twang and snap of the Tele lineage. The medium “C” profile neck and 9.5" radius provide a comfortable grip and modern feel, while the 22 medium jumbo frets allow for clean bending and articulate note definition across the board.

The dual Fender American Standard single-coil pickups offer a broad tonal spectrum—tight and bright in the bridge for cutting leads and riffs, smooth and warm in the neck for rich cleans and soulful textures.

This guitar has been professionally set up by our in-house luthier and is performance-ready. This guitar shows noticeable playwear, including minor chips on the edges and finish wear on the lower bout on the back of the body, but nothing that affects tone or playability.
