Here we have a 1972 Gretsch 7691 Super Chet in good condition. The serial number is 9 2007. The body is maple with a dark walnut finish. It has a slim maple neck with a scale length of 24.5" and black side dots. The double bound fretboard is ebony with mother of pearl inlays. The pickups are original Dual FilterTron humbuckers with 3-way pickup selector switch and mini-control knobs, two individual volume, two tone, and one master volume.
The gold plated hardware is equipped with a Tune-O-Matic bridge and abalone inlaid trapeze tailpiece and Grover tuners. Please note that there's a previously repaired finish issue behind the nut, and a repaired finish near the switch on the upper bout.
This guitar has been set up by our in-house luthier, and has recently had a fret-level, re-crown, and polish. It's ready to go for the stage and recording!
