This 1963 Fender Jazzmaster is exceptional pre-CBS guitar, retaining all the hallmarks that made these early offsets so desirable. The alder body was expertly refinished in the 1970's in a striking Iced Tea burst, giving this example a unique vibe and loads of character.
The maple neck with rosewood fingerboard offers the smooth, comfortable playability expected from an early-’60s Fender. Its 7.25" radius and 25.5" scale length provide a familiar response that works equally well for chords and lead work.
Sonically, this Jazzmaster delivers the wide, articulate voice they are known for, thanks to its original single-coil pickups. Expect warm, rounded tones on the neck pickup and clear, cutting presence from the bridge, with the versatile rhythm/lead circuit offering a broad range of usable sounds.
Aside from the body refinish and replaced tuners, this instrument remains original, preserving the tone and feel that define vintage Jazzmasters.
