We recieved this early 60's Danelectro bass in need of our love, and are very happy to see it back in action and playing better than ever! The original finish had been covered in a black paint that was removed, and after much polishing and cleaning has been restored to its former glory. Although there are still some signs of the old paint, we are happy to not be listing this as "refinished"! The lipstick pickup had a cracked case but worked well, so we carefully replaced the chrome cover with a new reproduction. The neck screws have been replaced with new steel screws, and we have sourced a reproduction "Silvertone" headstock badge.
This bass is now in very good condition and plays better than it did when it was in mint condition 60 years ago! This guitar has 24 frets and a 29.5" scale.
