Up for sale we have a 1934 Gibson L-50 Archtop in very good condition. The serial code is 181A. The L-50 is a 16" carved-top archtop and in 1934 the model featured a flat-backed L-00 sized body with a carved spruce top. It has a comfortable V neck with 1-3/4" nut and 24 3/4" scale. Overall length is 39 3/4" (101 cm.), 14 3/4" (37.5 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 3 1/2" (8.9 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. There are 19 frets on this guitar and the fretboard is ebony. There are pearl dot inlays and pearl Gibson logo. It has a sunburst top, dark stained back and sides finish, maple body, and mahogany neck. The pickguard has been replaced with an unbound acrylic tortoise shell pickguard. All other components of this guitar are original. This guitar has been set up by our inhouse luthier and is ready for stage/recording! Please note the wear on the front and back of the body.
